O, four others. Eardrum, Metal Safari, 29Jaguar, and Faint in Pain. I know others, just not off the top of my head.

By "J-Rock heavy metal band" do you just mean Japanese metal bands? Or J-Rock bands with a metal element to them?

Theres a Japanese metal thread in this section of the forum. Anyway, Blood Stain Child, Intestine Baalism, Metal Safari (as mentioned) are some good Japanese metal bands. X-Japan too.

If you're asking for something thats a cross between J-Rock (vk?) and metal then maybe you'd like to try Aikaryu or Plasma Jet.

Hmmm... Loudness and Vow Wow are both pretty good Japanese Heavy Metal bands, especially the former. Vow Wow's more hard rock than metal, but it's good stuff.

What do you consider heavy metal?
A couple powermetal bands are Galneryus & Volcano

Aikaryu is also like powermetal
they do a lot of different themed stuff.
Visually too, from pirates to vampires >___>

Yeah, sure, and BoA is a f***ing amazing punk-metallish-way vocalist.
It's not JUST TMOAB, listen to saku, OBSCURE, Marmalade Chainsaw, Mr. Newsman, and many others.
So, just, wait, stfu.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but even a metal-lover like me would consider DeG a form of metal. Not the heaviest, and not the lightest, but in general, yeah, it's metal.

Try Intestine Baalism, Infected Malignity, and...uhh I don't know off the top of my head. Just go to myspace.com, click on music, choose metal, black metal, death metal etc from the genre and choose Japan as the country. Sort it by most popular or w/e. You'll get alot of band names.
