ahh that doesn't mean he is gay , you don't know if people gay unless they tell your or not. There's this guy at work who wears his pants up tight and shirt tucked in and talks weird but he isn't gay. There's also a guy who dresses like a rapper and is gay and he has a deep voice matter fact lots of girls liked him until he said he was gay but they his friends lol punch

He did come out quite a while ago. It's not just a character.

He admits bisexuality, but it is hinted that he leans more towards men. Kind of old news unless people are new to him or Schwarz Stein. It's just that he doesn't parade his private life or feel he needs to "convince" anyone these days.
His older fans were aware of this and Kaya's own personal diary entries and MC/performances at gay night clubs and drag shows support that. http://www.lerman.biz/asagao/ used to provide more information, but the format changed and it seems some of the diary links have not been working. In one interview, there was one time when he was asked if he felt he could relate to the movie "Ma Vie En Rose". He said something like he identified with the movie's protagonist, but he just didn't think the movie was that good(or something).

as far as i heard in Tokyo nearly everyone knowing kaya, know he like boys and he's pretty open with it and date a lot! (ok, date is not the right word, you know what I mean?)

Hum... there's no pictures of him without make-up (or I haven't found it yetxD)
this is the picture I found where he's wearing less make-up than ordinary... So no lip stick x)
